The Set Resource Status action sets or clears the status text of an i-net HelpDesk resource without changing a ticket. Use it when a task should update the information shown with a resource.
The following options are available:
The resource picker also accepts a custom value. This allows a Task Planner placeholder or another value supplied by the task to identify the resource.
Task Planner replaces placeholders in both fields before the action is constructed. A placeholder may provide the resource value, and placeholders may also be embedded in the status text together with ordinary text.
If a resource placeholder cannot be resolved to an active resource, the action reports an execution error and does not update another resource.
At execution time, the task owner must have either the global resource read/write permission or write membership in the selected resource, including inherited membership from a parent resource. The selected group must be an active i-net HelpDesk resource.
The status is validated after placeholder replacement. If the requested text already matches the stored status, no update is performed.
