Portable Document Format

The Portable Document Format (PDF) is a format that is intended to present document independent of application software, hardware or operating system.

i-net PDFC supports all versions of PDF. Since the application is focused on the comparison of visible and printable content, not all features of the PDF specification are supported. Missing features will not cause an interruption but will just leave out the unsupported element.

Currently unsupported features:

  • Rich Media PDF - embedded Video, Audio or File content will be ignored
  • Adobe XML Forms Architecture (XFA)
  • XML Forms Data Format (XFDF)
  • Dynamic Optional Content Groups (layers) - i-net PDFC will display and compare all layers, even if there are conditions for when to display a layer
